Away (20-Jan-2018) versus Sheffield Wednesday

A genuine unwashed match worn is a favourite for all collectors so was happy to get my hands on Big Sol Bamba's shirt from the away game at Sheffield Wednesday. The game ended in a disappoint nil nil draw and was part of a disappointing run of games at the start of 2018. The shirt came from a respected member of the Sheffield back room staff.

  

LEE TOMLIN

Away Player Issue (23-September-2017) versus Sunderland

Player Issue shirt that was obtained from Lee Tomlin at Sunderland at the start of the season. Tomlin was once again an unused substitute. Tomlin was quite possibly one of the most frustrating players I have seen at Cardiff. Unfortunately he did not appear to remain fit and did not fit into Warnocks style of play. My memory of Tomlin will always be one the greatest bits of skill I have seen at the CCS when he dummied a pass leaving 2 Norwich players running into thin air and the opposite direction of a running Tomlin.  

LEE TOMLIN

Home (PLAYER ISSUE) (28-January-2018) versus Manchester City

Player Issue Shirt of Midfielder Lee Tomlin. Tomlin was an unused substitute during the game.This season was the first time that Cardiff used FA CUP arm patches in the early rounds and also included a sponsor on the rear of the shirt. Cardiff lost the game 2-0 but was probably most remembered for comments about Joe Bennett after his sending off  

 

BRIAN MURPHY

Player Issue

Player Issue shirt of Irish Goalkeeper Brian Murphy. No match details on this Shirt. Murphy proved to be an excellent backup keeper thoughout his time at the Cardiff City Stadium and never failed to impress whenever he was called upon.  

 

 

ANTHONY PILKINGTON

(Away) Player Issue

Player Issue shirt of versatile attacking player Anthony Pilkington. Pilkington mainly a winger was also a good goalscorer during the season and did play a number of times as a striker.  

 

 

CALLUM PATERSON

Home (28-January-2018) versus Manchester City

Match Worn Shirt of Callum Paterson. Although starting out as a Defender Callum has played in nearly every position for Cardiff and you can be guaranteed of him giving 100%. This season was the first time that Cardiff used FA CUP arm patches in the early rounds and also included a sponsor on the rear of the shirt. Cardiff lost the game 2-0 but was probably most remembered for comments about Joe Bennett after his sending off.  

 

JOE RALLS

Home (28-January-2018) versus Manchester City

Match Worn Shirt of midfielder Joe Ralls. This season was the first time that Cardiff used FA CUP arm patches in the early rounds and also included a sponsor on the rear of the shirt. Cardiff lost the game 2-0 but was probably most remembered for comments about Joe Bennett after his sending off.

ANTHONY PILKINGTON

Match Worn Shirt of winger Anthony Pilkington. Pilkington ended is career at Cardiff mostly playing as a striker. A bit of a favourite with the fans who always gave 100% This season was the first time that Cardiff used FA CUP arm patches in the early rounds and also included a sponsor on the rear of the shirt. Cardiff lost the game 2-0 but was probably most remembered for comments about Joe Bennett after his sending off.  

 

NEIL ETHERIDGE

Player Issue

Player Issue shirt of Goalkeeper Neil Etheridge. No match details on this Shirt. Even though Etheridge wore Number 25 he was clearly the number 1 keep for the season. Number 1 Lee Camp was injured but Etheridge was absolutely pivotal in Cardiff secruring promotion to the premier league. 

 

ROLF FELTSCHER

Home Player Issue

For many collectors the favourite shirt is always the star player of the team of the match winner. For me it is often nice to get your hands on a rare shirt such as this as it's a player issue shirt of someone who never actually played a game for the club. I have no idea how but managed to get both the home and away shirt of Rolf.  

 

KENNETH ZOHORE

Away Player Issue

Kenneth Zohore Player Issue Shirt - Got to be up there as one of the most frustrating players at City On his day is strong, quick and motivated - When he can't be bothered it looks like he is standing around and just does not care. Still a great shirt from a reliable source.

 

 LOIC DAMOUR

Home (18-November-2017) versus Brentford

 

Loic Damours Match worn shirt worn against Brentford in the 2-1 win at the Cardiff City Stadium. The Frenchman came to Cardiff but has struggled to make a major impact at the club with majority of games being a substitue or being substituted.

SOL BAMBA

Home (23-September-2017) versus Sunderland

A rare clean Match worn Shirt of Big Sol Bamba - Most City fans will be familiar with Sol diving in and his long legs somehow incerpting a pass or shot. Reason for the mathc worn being so clean is that Sol did not get onto the pitch until the 90th minute of the game.

Match Worn shirt of goalkeeper Brian Murphy. Murphy an ever present backup to Etheridge during the 2017/2018 Season. Shirt carries the official poppy emblem with all proceeds of the sale going to the great charity cause.

Player issue shirt of Goalkeeper Brian Murphy. Shirt was bought from official Cardiff charity with all proceeds being kept local.

 

 

DANNY WARD

Away (13-October-2017) versus Birmingam City

A favourite to my collection for this season as it's a one off shirt. Due to kit clash, Caridff were forced to wear this red 3rd shirt (Basically 2016/17 season shirt) Shirt is a match worn of Cardiff's Danny Ward who came on a substitute late in the second. Cardiff lost the game 1-0 with Che Adams running the show for Birmingham.

  

  

LEE PELTIER

Home (21st April 2018) versus Nottingham Forest

 

Match Worn shirt of right Back Lee Peltier- Lee only played the first 45 Minutes of the game and got replaced by Sol Bamba for the second half. Excellent result for city as they went on to win 2-1 with a winner from Gunnarsson.
